This is a tool that helps to examine HTTP headers that a web server gives back when we seek URL. Heaps of information can be driven by using HTTP header check for a web server. The data gained by HTTP header check can be used when we want to forcefully alter the web server and for troubleshooting.

HTTP headers can be used to enable transfer of information between client and server through request or response. The HTTP headers have a name which is case-insensitive which is shadowed by colon ':’ and by a value.

Headers can be categorized differently as per the contexts. Such as:

General header: in this, both request and response will have headers with no link with the transmitted.

Request header: here headers hold data regarding resource to be fetched or the client.

Response header: hold more information like location, server name, and version.

Header checker is a tool used to visualize the HTTP headers of required URL. When a request is sent, there can be a number of returned response codes by HTTP header checker tool which is because of redirected from actual URL to other URL.  It is mainly used for knowing requested URL status. For SEO (search engine optimization) usage of appropriate URL, redirect is necessary. There are different keys for HTTP header checker response and each key is for designated responses, each returned codes represent the following tasks had finished or under process.

These headers are used to transfer or receive data within the application as it is not willful to use outside the application. These headers provide relevant data for web developers and for troubleshooting. These kinds of headers mostly start with X-, we can use these headers in different ways like limiting CDN traffic, restricting bandwidth rate for server and creating custom logic.

Request HTTP headers is a network packet sent by the client to the server. This type of header contains the information like version, type, and capabilities of a browser of the client that is sending a request so as to enable the server to send the appropriate data as requested. After receiving the request header, now the server responds to the client by sending response header, which is sent along with the files or data requested. This allows secure transfer of information.

It is mainly used for browsing purpose where the user or client sends the request for a particular website to the server for which the server responds by displaying the requested site. Each time a request is placed on the server an HTTP request header is generated which of it has the following information:

Port number

Source IP address

URI requested (web page requested by client or user).

Host (server to which request is sent)

Data type (text, jpg, HTML, XML.. etc)

Type of user or client browser (chrome, chromium, firefox etc)
